Janet C. Bernstein | Keynote Speaker,
Author & Visibility Strategist
My Story — The Short Version
I lost 100 pounds.
I walked away from burnout.
I dismantled a life that looked impressive… but wasn’t aligned.
And instead of pretending everything was fine, I told the truth to myself first.
I rebuilt my body.
I rebuilt my courage.
I rebuilt my voice.
Now I help women do the same.
Every book I’ve written.
Every keynote I deliver.
Every program I create.
Carries one message at its core:
You don’t have to set yourself on fire to belong in the room.

Why Women Work With Me
Women come to me when they’re:
• successful on paper but exhausted inside
• ready to be visible but terrified to be seen
• done shrinking in rooms that were never built for them
• standing at the edge of reinvention and asking… what now?
They are not lacking ambition. They're lacking space to breathe.
I don’t teach “fake it till you make it.”
I help women:
• trust their voice
• reconnect to identity
• speak with grounded authority
• show up without over-performing
• glow again — without burning out
This work is not surface-level.
It is transformational, compassionate, and real.
Women don’t burn out because they’re weak.
Burnout prevention isn't a self-care issue. It's a leadership strategy.
They burn out because they:
• over-perform to be taken seriously
• silence themselves to keep the peace
• carry emotional labor no one sees
• live in rooms where they feel like a problem to solve instead of a leader to trust

I believe:
• confidence is a practice
• presence is a signal
• visibility is an act of courage
• and glow is the antidote to grind
No woman should have to disappear to succeed.
The Work I Do
My work lives at the intersection of:
• identity and leadership
• confidence and communication
• burnout and resilience
• story and visibility
I speak, train, write, and coach on:
• burnout prevention and emotional capacity
• body language and leadership presence
• confidence and self-trust
• visibility without performance or pressure
• storytelling, authorship, and thought leadership

The Full Story
I don’t just teach reinvention. I lived it — in public, in real time, with my whole life on the line.
After years of achievement, over-functioning, and trying to be everything for everyone, I found myself burned out, disconnected from my identity, and running on performance instead of purpose. I checked all the boxes. I had the titles, the work ethic, the reputation… and yet I was disappearing inside my own success.
So I did the thing most people are afraid to do.
I walked away from what was breaking me and stopped dimming my light.
I rebuilt my life, my body, my voice, and my confidence from the inside out.
And from that, Let Her Glow was born.
Today, I’m Janet C. Bernstein, a keynote speaker, ten-time author, founder of Let Her Glow Publishing House, and Chief Glow Strategist, helping leaders and entrepreneur women build visibility, confidence, and presence without burning out to prove their worth.
This isn’t motivation or hype. It’s grounded resilience, emotional intelligence, and real-world strategy for women who are ready to stop shrinking and start showing up with unmistakable glow.

When I'm not writing, speaking, or coaching, you will probably finding me hanging out with one of these handsome boys: my 'trophy husband' Harold, and my sidekick, Biggie Smalls, the Notorious D.O.G.
Fun Facts: I'm obsessed with the 90s, reruns of Friends, and I know every word to the song Gansta's Paradise. Because of course I do. If I could spend everyday wearing Lucky Brand jeans, Doc Martens, a black bodysuit and a flannel shirt...well I probably would. And if you need even more reasons to love me, I can sing all 50 states in alphabetical order (thanks to my third grade teacher Ms. Welch.) Oh and my love language is Prosecco and Pizza. (I have both tattoos.)
Harold and I live in Carrollton, TX and are parents to five (yes 5) adult children - and a bonus daughter by marriage. And our new favorite titles were upgraded just a few years ago... we are now Pops and Gigi. And I don't want to make anyone jealous, but we have been told by a certain little girl that we are the BEST Pops and Gigi who ever lived. So there's that.
Oh... and I'm a Certified Behavioral Consultant - DISC System for Behavioral Analysis by People Keys, and I'm certified in Emotional Intelligence from the University of Michigan.
